about

I was inspired by Salvador Dali's paintings The Burning Giraffe, Dream Caused by the Flight of a Bee, The Persistence of Memory, Eggs on the Plate without the Plate, and others. These lyrics were used in a Pucker / Casper's Nutbag song in 1997. I wrote new music so I could play the song on acoustic guitar.

lyrics

Lyrics:

I see what no one else can see
pin holes in dreams make dreamers weak
think fast before I smash your face
Moon Pies on ice how good they taste
feed my urge, scream my name in bed
love to hate myself, hate to love, I'm dead
detach from the dancing gypsy girls
sing to me and I'll give you strings of pearls

See the flash and smile
red Hula Hoops will spin
kiss my lips, they're on fire
close your eyes and you will grin

I see what no one else can see
I'm free but no one else is free
I'm seeing giraffes

I see what no one else can see
blue giraffes on fire cross the street
throw seeds at the bleeding clock
the whistle sounds like a chicken screaming "cock"
fishing rods fly through the rain
hooked on eggs, the ones I ate today
gushing out from her heaving metal lung
is liquid gold falling on my tongue
